Yes, Abusers Can Change!
"End Spousal Abuse & Save Your Marriage"

From the Desk of Dr. Jeanne King, Ph.D.

Dear Survivor,

Are you in an intimate relationship that hurts?
Do you feel violated by the things your partner
does or says? Are you in a place wherein you
can no longer endure any further abuse?

If so, read on...because the next set of
questions were written especially for you.

What if you and your spouse could "fix" the
relationship that many people urge you to
flee, would you want to try?

Do you long to rid yourself of domestic
abuse without bringing further abuse
to you or to your children?

Do you want peace and wish you could have it at home...where you have the dream you cherish...where you have what you once thought was love...and where you have the life and family you know?

If you have answered, "yes" to any of these questions, then I encourage you to digest the following page thoroughly!

Can Abusers Change?

Every person in an abusive relationship, whether they are the abuser or the abused, can influence the dynamics of the relationship. Now, this doesn’t mean to imply that domestic abuse survivors are responsible for the battering or even have the ability to end the abuse perpetuated upon them.

What it does mean is that many batterers (at least the ones we see) have an innate potential for refocusing and thus reinventing themselves, their relationships and their lives. And domestic abuse victims, too, have this same ability—which recreates their destiny with respect to their intimate relationship and beyond.

We've just met, so let me introduce myself...
as you may be wondering, why listen to me?

I have been helping people identify, end and heal from domestic abuse for over a decade. And I serve as a consulting expert on both civil and criminal cases of intimate partner violence.

The first book I wrote on the subject, All But My Soul, became a college textbook in criminal justice. Since this time, I've published 10 eBooks and over 300 articles on identifying, ending and healing from physical, emotional and verbal abuse.

I am a seasoned licensed psychologist of 28 years (at the time of this writing). And this background gives me the benefit of understanding the psychosocial dynamics that bind abusive relationships as well as the mechanics of healing relationship abuse.

Knowing "It" from the Inside Out

Healing Wisdom

But all of my knowledge about domestic abuse intervention doesn't come from the hundreds of books I have read or from the people I have helped. It also comes from the fact that I, too, lived the nightmare and carried the pain of intimate partner abuse.

So I know it from the inside out, as well. And I know how hard it is to find professional help that truly understands the actual inner ache of domestic violence AND the principles of healing relationship abuse.

I truly understand how important it is for you to end and heal from intimate partner abuse: emotionally, physically and psychologically. And I know how important it is for your partner to break the cycle of spousal abuse. ....Lastly, you and I both know the benefit this will have for your marriage and for your family.

By profession, practice and expertise, I am a healer first. And my experience has shown me that people, at the core of their being, have the capacity for change. Can I interest you in seeing how this may be possible for you and your partner?
